In the course of the complete restoration of Vienna’s Friedensbrücke – which connects the city’s 9th and 20th districts – a glass windscreen was set up on the upstream side of the bridge. The aim of the study was to design the area of the tram stop of tram lines 5 and 33 sheltered from the wind as much as possible. Wind comfort for waiting passengers of the then existing station and the planned station was determined. The glass windscreen was optimized so that its effect ranges from the pavement on the bridge to the tram stops.
